The Classic Style

What defines a Spirit Classic?

Spirit’s Classic sailing yachts are identifiable by their Bermudan sloop rigs, flush decks, long overhangs and a design style reminiscent of the 1930s classic yachts.

Customised for cruising, racing or both, current Spirit Classic designs range from 37 up to 120 feet.  The sleek underwater profile, fin and bulb keel and lightweight wood construction facilitate easy handling for regattas or long distance cruising.  All Spirit yachts have carbon spars as standard, and the options for the latest deck hardware and sail wardrobes, mean a Spirit Classic can be optimised for performance sailing.

On deck, a spacious cockpit sits forward of a long aft deck, both of which provide ample room for relaxing and entertaining.  As with any Spirit yacht, owners are welcome to specify interior layout and furnishings to suit lifestyle, guest requirements and sailing plans.  Spirit Yachts is at the forefront of sustainable sailing, working with suppliers to produce environmental solutions throughout a yacht.  Recent builds include hybrid and fully electric drive yachts with green credentials considered throughout all systems onboard.

“I loved the idea of combining traditional design with elegant long overhangs and a modern bulb keel, which meant I could have the best of both worlds; a beautifully designed performance yacht.”
