The client’s brief was simple: to build the most beautiful yacht possible with no compromise on quality and performance. The result was “Galatea”, a 22m modern classic yacht with fan skylight windows in the coachroof blending seamlessly with the classic lines of the deck and the timeless hull shape.
Down below, the spacious, open plan saloon is bathed in natural light from the fanlight windows above and provides the ideal space for relaxing and entertaining. Galatea is designed for eight guests across three Pullman cabins and a forward double ensuite. All Spirit Yachts’ designs can be customised to suit an owner’s preferences and the interior of the Spirit 74 may be configured to have three or four en-suite cabins.
Performance remains at the forefront of the 74 design. With a displacement of only 22tonnes, she has an impressive power to weight ratio and the potential for speeds of over 20 knots in the right conditions. With carbon spars and a sail wardrobe from OneSails, the Spirit 74 is well equipped for racing, whilst the large cockpit and sweeping aft deck offer plenty of space to relax. As a performance yacht, Galatea is a regular competitor in European regattas, whilst her spacious interior and ease of handling allow for summers spent short-handed cruising in Mediterranean.
Offers the legendary performance of the ‘Classic Spirits’ in designs that now create more volume and even greater comfort. Designed and crafted to the highest specifications.
All the style, elegance and craftsmanship of Spirit’s modern classic sailing yachts applied to a portfolio of sophisticated motor yachts from tenders and day boats to superyachts.
Spirit can custom design from a blank sheet. Over the years Spirit have designed a rich variety of yachts, both sail and power, which extend the scope of ‘Classic’ and ‘Deckhouse’.
