This month, leading modern classic yacht designer and builder Spirit Yachts announced it has launched its eye-catching new motor yacht, the P50 Sport.

Created to meet demand for a luxury guest motor yacht experience combined with the timeless elegance of Spirit’s renowned modern classic yachts, the P50 Sport will officially launch in London on 2nd and 3rd October.

Spirit Yachts Sales Director Richard Booth said, “The P50 Sport has already been turning heads during the summer sea trials. Early signs show strong demand for her distinctive blend of modern classic styling with world class craftsmanship and on-the-water performance.”

Richard continued, “The motor yacht market offers an overwhelming number of ~50ft production boats, but the P50 Sport stands head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to luxury, handling, timeless design, and exquisite attention to detail.”

Created to allow guests to escape the daily grind and truly escape, the P50 Sport centres around a spacious open plan bar and galley, with bar stool seating and a handcrafted, Sipo Mahogany dining table with U-shaped sofa. The large swim platform houses a hydraulic passarelle and swim stairs for easy access from the dock or the water, as well as plentiful water sports toy storage. Deep bulwarks provide a sense of security as the decks lead forward to the bow, which offers two large loungers on the foredeck; perfect for evening sundowners.

The helm position is carefully considered to ensure good visibility, straightforward navigation, and easy handling with both throttle and joy stick controls for the twin Volvo Penta D6 IPS600 (440hp) drives, supported by a Seakeeper, and a custom anchor system by Lewmar. With a maximum speed of 34 knots, and a cruising speed of 25 knots, the Spirit P50 Sport is designed for memorable days on the water with family and friends.
