The Spirit 52′ is the perfect bridge between the comfort and accommodation of the Spirit 56′ and the exhilarating racing performance of the Spirit 46′. Ideal for a couple looking to entertain family and friends, or a keen racer, the Spirit 52′ is a hybrid socialiser and competitor.
Arguably the most elegant of the medium-sized Spirits, the 52′ is superb for cruising and regatta racing. With two double cabins, each with en-suite and a charming saloon, which enjoys plenty of natural light, and a further two comfortable saloon berths, the 52′ has plenty of space for entertaining friends and family.
With a well-equipped navigation area, as well as plenty of stowage for sails, the Spirit 52′ has a top speed of 16 knots and is one of Spirit Yachts’ most successful racing yachts to date.
With the usual Spirit attributes of minimal wetted surface and an astonishing power to weight ratio, the Spirit 52′ is an outstanding performer both as an extremely comfortable fast cruiser and as a regatta star. Off the wind, performance up to 16 knots in suitable conditions is complemented by a close-winded nine knots upwind – truly a sailor’s delight.
The exterior showcases low bulwarks, richly varnished cappings and elegantly swept taffrail, framing a deck that is spacious yet practical in layout. All the normal controls are led aft to the cockpit and the option of powered handling can be applied to any equipment, which enhances the ease of single-handed sailing if required. Accommodation is traditional or contemporary and split between a twin cabin forward with en-suite facilities and a beautiful double cabin aft, also with en-suite.
In between the accommodation is the elegant saloon – open plan with the superbly equipped galley and the navigation station, which has space for a customer’s bespoke equipment specification. Storage is plentiful and flexible, and includes a lazarette. The Spirit 52′ embodies all that is quintessentially Spirit: superb good looks, the very best quality, and the responsive handling of a true thoroughbred.
