Features

With light displacement for her size (12 tonnes) and plenty of volume down below, the Spirit 56’ is most suitable for an owner who prefers to spend extended periods of time onboard or sailing longer passages with the minimum of fuss. The deck layout is clean and well laid out so the yacht can easily be set up for short or single-handed sailing.

The interior layout is designed for entertaining with a large owner’s suite forward and a beautiful guest suite aft, which are supplemented by a central saloon and a twin Pullman style cabin giving additional sea berths when on passage. Every aspect of this classic 56’ design is optimised for comfort and practicality from the size and number of the skylight hatches, the generous cupboard and hanging space and the substantial lazarette, which provides ample storage for all necessary equipment.

The mechanical and electrical specification may be specified as required with the options to carry a generator, watermaker, extra tankage or batteries. Despite her bias towards cruising, the Spirit 56’ is no slouch. By now well proven in regattas, she is capable of speeds in excess of 14 knots off the wind and 9 knots upwind with an easy motion.
