Designed as a simple yet elegant day sailor, the Spirit 30 is a new addition to the Spirit Yachts portfolio. Sporting a 1930s-inspired, modern classic design and uncluttered decks, she is aesthetically beautiful and straight-forward to sail. The ideal yacht for coastal cruising on a sunny day with family and friends, the Spirit 30 is also set-up for single or short-handed sailing. Her light displacement, modern hull design, and performance rig and sails deliver speed on the water and the option for competitive regatta racing.
With options for either diesel or electric power and with a fixed or lifting keel and rudder, the Spirit 30 is designed with flexibility to suit an owner’s specific criteria. The Spirit 30 currently in build houses a Torqeedo Cruise 4.0 FP electric drive system powered by lithium ion batteries (2 x 48-5000) and a Torqeedo 650W battery charger. Durable, smooth and sustainable Lignia Yacht decking gives way to a Sipo mahogany cockpit with tiller steering. Rigging is nitronic rod rigging complemented by carbon fibre mast and spars. All sail controls and halyards are led through the mast to below deck and controlled from one central electric winch via clutches forward of the centre thwart.
Interior layout can be tailored to suit an owner’s requirements. The hull’s Douglas fir planking and sapele ringframes showcase the craftsmanship within the yacht’s construction and give a warm, natural feel to the interior. At only 9.15m long with a displacement of 1.4tonnes, the Spirit 30 can easily be transported on a road trailer, adding to the versatility of this simple yet classically beautiful yacht.
