Spirit 50CR
Over 40ft
Winner
Classic Boat magazine has announced the Spirit 50CR (cruiser racer) has won the Spirit of Tradition over 40ft category in the magazine’s annual awards.
Voted for by Classic Boat readers and the wider public, the awards celebrate the best new builds, restorations and people in the industry.
Spirit Yachts managing director Nigel Stuart commented, “Since her launch at last year’s Southampton Boat Show, we have received lots of positive interest in the 50CR. This is a yacht that ticks a lot of boxes: cruising and racing, beauty and practicality. At 50ft, she is easy to handle but large enough to go cruising with friends or family.”
Nigel continued, “The Spirit team puts an enormous amount of skill and attention to detail into every yacht, so I am delighted their hard work has been recognised with this award win.”
Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, this year’s awards ceremony was cancelled and the winners have been revealed in the current (May) issue of Classic Boat magazine.
