AUTUMN RECRUITMENT DAY: FRIDAY 10TH OCTOBER
Following the success of a spring recruitment event earlier this year, Spirit Yachts is opening its doors once again. The company is set to host its next recruitment open day at its Ipswich yard on Friday 10th October from 9am – 4pm.
Spirit Yachts Managing Director Karen Underwood commented, “The recruitment day is a brilliant way for us to engage with new talent on a one-to-one basis. We are looking for new team members in the short-to-medium term, as well as establishing a pipeline of skilled labour for the future.”
Karen continued, “Our industry is facing a skills shortage so to help safeguard future growth we build relationships with aspiring talent – when the time is right for both parties they know our door is open.”
Based on the picturesque Suffolk coastline, Spirit Yachts has a range of specialisms across its modern classic yacht design and build company. With boatbuilding, cabinetry, design, naval architecture, electrical, engineering, and commissioning all under one roof there are opportunities across a variety of roles.
Karen adds, “We are currently recruiting experienced boatbuilders and a senior naval architect, but we are always looking for new talent and welcome applicants across all areas of the business.”
Attendees will be welcomed to the Spirit yard with a tour of projects in build, including an R53 sailing yacht, two new P50 motor yachts, an R30 day sailor,a C78 cruising yacht, and a bespoke Q Class commission.
The current Spirit team will give visitors a unique insight into the design and build process and an understanding of current and future opportunities to join Spirit Yachts.
